Lee Fields & The Expressions, Bettye LaVette, Taj Mahal and Gov't Mule confirmed for Under The Bridge in July
Under The Bridge in Fulham announces a series of gigs in July from a varied selection of some of the finest acts from around the world.
Kicking things off on the 4th July is Southern blues-rock outfit Gov't Mule, returning to Under The Bridge following their incendiary, sold-out performance in 2012; on July 17th R&B legend Bettye Lavette performs an exclusive concert to mark the release of new album Thankful N' Thoughtful and to celebrate her 50th anniversary in the music industry; fresh off the back of their critically acclaimed album Faithful Man, which was voted as one of Mojo Magazine's 50 best albums of 2013, Under The Bridge plays host to the only UK headline date of 2013 for retro-soul superstars Lee Fields & The Expressions on 26th July; and rounding off the month, legendary blues and roots icon Taj Mahal returns to Under The Bridge for two consecutive nights on the 28th and 29th July which coincides with the recent release of Taj Mahal - The Complete Columbia Albums Collection.

Gov't Mule - Thursday 4th July
Phenomenal blues-rock outfit Gov't Mule return to Under The Bridge for the first time since their stellar performance as part of Bluesfest 2012. The four-piece band, featuring singer/guitarist Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abs, bassist Jorgen Carlsson and keyboardist Danny Louis, appear as part of their "Prepare to Shout!" US and European tour.
Bettye LaVette - Wednesday 17th July
R&B legend Bettye LaVette marks her 50th anniversary in the music world with a one-off concert at Under The Bridge to celebrate the upcoming release of her mesmerizing album, Thankful N' Thoughtful (released on Anti Records) as well as her no holds barred autobiography, co-written with David Ritz and due for release on September 27th.
Lee Fields & The Expressions - Friday 26th July
Under The Bridge is proud to announce that resurgent soul man Lee Fields & his band The Expressions will be performing their only UK headline gig of 2013 at the West London venue on July 26th. Fresh off the back of recent album Faithful Man, Fields returns to the UK to show today's soul stars how it's really done. With Faithful Man, he takes it right back to the old school, with a modern take on a vintage sound. The songs tell tales of love, heartbreak and blues in the time-honoured way.
Taj Mahal - Sunday 28th + Monday 29th July
Legendary blues and roots icon Taj Mahal stops by at West London venue Under The Bridge for two nights in July. Having recently released his long-awaited box set of 13 album titles spanning 1965 to 1976, and with a new greatest hits compilation on the way, this is surely a must-see gig for all blues fans.
