Set To Open For Bloc Party + Perform At A Number Of U.S. Festivals!
Vancouver, B.C.'s own electro-dance band Bear Mountain will be releasing their infectious debut album, XO, on May 21st, 2013 via Last Gang Records.
In addition, the band has announced that they will be hitting the road this month serving as direct support for Bloc Party, and will be performing at this year's Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Sasquatch Festival, Governor's Ball, Capitol Hill Block Party, and more. See full list of dates below!

Bear Mountain have created a fresh and captivating electro/dance gem in XO - blending syncopated bass lines, arpeggiated synth chords, live instrumentation, and mesmerizing vocals together to make a sound that's all their own. The band's approach to the traditional "indie-pop" genre pushes boundaries and redefines the genre as a whole.
Singer Ian Bevis explains, "A friend of ours best described our sound as 'a hopeful utopian future.' While we do put a range of emotions in our music, it's important that it always comes from the heart. We want the listener to feel that and to go to those places with us."
Live, Bear Mountain deliver magnetic performances that'll swoop you in right from the start. Billboard, who caught them at this year's SXSW gushed, "The fact they could catch so much attention … says something about the potential and staying power of their music."
From lush synth sounds and chopped vocal samples, to tropical drum beats and house-drenched kicks, XO manages to capture the feeling of the infinite and the impossible, all rolled into one.
