MAGIC MAN ANNOUNCE 2014 TOUR DATES
Stream Magic Man’s “Paris (New Politics Remix)”
Boston based, synth-rock act Magic Man have announced they’ll kick off 2014 with a month long, North American tour supporting New Politics.
Starting January 14 in Houston, TX the band will travel up the east coast and along the mid-west, ending the tour on the west coast in February. To celebrate the announcement of the tour Magic Man has released a New Politics remix of their single “Paris,” (link below) which is in high rotation at Sirius XM Alt Nation and “indie pop perfection” according to Pigeons and Planes.
Magic Man recently played a handful of energetic shows at NYC’s CMJ Festival before heading out on a short east coast run with Los Angeles based act Sir Sly. Magic Man recently released their EP You Are Here which was produced by Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, Holy Ghost!) and includes new studio versions of previously released Magic Man demos “Paris”, “Texas,” and “Nova Scotia” plus two additional brand new tracks “Every Day” and “Waves.”

Magic Man Bio:
Magic Man is the creation of childhood friends Alex Caplow (vocals) and Sam Vanderhoop Lee (guitars and keyboards) who, while spending a summer abroad trading labor for room and board on a series of French organic farms, flushed out the music that would comprise Magic Man’s 2010 self-released album Real Life Color. The album gradually made its way across the internet like a slow-burning wildfire until it caught the attention of music blogs including: Pigeons and Planes, All Things Go, and Pitchfork.
Shortly after the release of Real Life Color Caplow and Lee decided to take Magic Man on the road and that is when they added high school friend Daniel Radin on bass, college friend Justine Bowe on keyboard and Joey Sulkowski on drums. As the exuberance of Magic Man’s new live set began transforming the band’s sound, Sam and Alex decided to retreat to the Providence, RI in 2012 to a flat they called the “Fox Den” to refine their material to the anthemic propulsion that defined the band’s resulting Fox Den Demos, which comprises the backbone of the band’s first proper studio effort, You Are Here.
