Photo: Hooligan Night

Get into the mood for a mad, minx-y March with Dirty Little Secret at Madame JoJo’s, London! It’s a perfect match when three hot bands line up with three of the UK’s wildest and wickedest burlesque vixens, igniting the stage in a burst of decadence and downright dirty rock ‘n’ roll fun!

On Wednesday 4th March, 2009, the bands are too hot to handle, and the burlesque babes are so sexy they’ll make your eyes water!

Opening:

The Gutter Bravados performing with Kiki Kaboom

London fourpiece The Gutter Bravados kick off the show in style. Heavily influenced by Bruce Springsteen, The Smiths, Warren Zevon and The Replacements, they bring rock ‘n’ roll with a swagger and a smile. Lead singer Cash Teran has been described as “a demented Morrissey meets Joan Jett”. These guys will set the stage on fire and provide a throbbing frenzy of sound.
www.myspace.com/gutterbravados

Kiki Kaboom
Cheeky Kiki is a charming striptease starlet with an irreverent, wicked sense of humour. Her characters Chavarella and Asbo Girl are fast becoming comic burlesque legends. Sexy, sassy Kiki Kaboom rocks the room!
www.myspace.com/kiki_kaboom

Second act:

Hooligan Night performing with Ruby Blues

Very special guests for this slot are Hooligan Night, who describe themselves as ‘Glam-Stompin’, Guitar-Twangin’, Blues-Howlin’, Cock-Rocking, Bad-Mouthing, Glitter-Trailing, Velvet-Purring, Electro Gutter-Trash’. The brainchild of delinquent showgirl Ruby Blues and production maestro Nik Diezel; they met while working on a freak show (true!), and were joined by Alabama 3 keyboard player Orlando Harrison and Stereo MC’s drummer Owen Rossiter. Their infectious, genre-bending sound of bass-driven beats and killer hooks accompanies vivid, sleazy tales of the dark side of city life: strange love, urban voodoo, dances with drag queens … Fabulous vocalist/lyricist Ruby Blues will perform her own gorgeous brand of electro-burlesque, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. It’s about to get very noisy …
www.myspace.com/hooligannight

Headliners:

The Imperial Vipers performing with Kitty Bang Bang

The ‘Vipers’ swaggering and gritty rock ‘n’ roll has already won them a legion of fans. Ripping out tunes that fall somewhere between Soundgarden and The Clash, their music and live performance is pure street rock. Fresh from touring with Hanoi Rocks who loved their “energy and passion”, they’ve been acclaimed by the rock media including Kerrang! who described them as “an authentic shit-kicking rock ‘n’ roll band with the potential to cause structural damage.”
www.myspace.com/imperialvipers

Kitty Bang Bang
The sensual, sizzling Kitty is so good she’s taken up residence in the house of Dirty Little Secrets, lighting up the stage with her quirky, sexy style, a perfect partnership with the ‘Vipers. Be warned – tonight’s electrifying finale could actually bring the house down!
www.myspace.com/burlesquekitty

Special guest Dougie Anderson (T4) is back in the DJ booth by popular demand and from 11.30pm the Dirty Little Disco takes you into the early hours with classic dirty disco/rock ‘n’ roll hits!

Pictured: The Bleeps

Dirty Little Secret is a live rock and burlesque night, the two worlds colliding to ignite the stage in an explosion of decadence and downright dirty rock ‘n’ roll fun. Three bands will perform together with three burlesque performers, chemistry made in heaven creating a feast for the senses.

What’s the Dirty Little Secret? It’s the mystery headline band, only revealed on the night, when they will perform with Miss Trixee Sparkle at the top of the bill.

The inaugural show, set to take place Wednesday 1st October, 2008 at Madame Jojo’s in Soho, London, presents a superb lineup of beautiful vixens and young lords of pop, with special guest DJ The Buzzcocks’ Chris Remington.

First band: The Bleeps performing with Kitty Bang Bang

The Bleeps
This Essex garage-pop two-piece has been compared to Beck and The Beastie Boys, making enough noise to fool you into thinking there’s ten of them. With tonight’s sizzling burlesque partner, the chemistry will be explosive!
“Anyone who’s seen The Bleeps live will know what a treat they are. Bringing a sound which is seemingly both lo-fi and complex, it always seems impressive that there’s just two of them” – Artrocker.
“Massive drums, wired guitars and dirty bass … spectacular two-minute blast of post-Pixies pop.” – Rough Trade.
www.myspace.com/thebleeps

Kitty Bang Bang
Kitty is a very foxy lady indeed – expect a spine-tingling performance of unadulterated sensuality.
www.myspace.com/burlesquekitty

Second band: Men and Gods performing with Vicky Butterfly

Men and Gods
This experimental four-piece has quite a pedigree: front man Marc Eden, after working with Slash was described by him as “one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll singers I have ever heard”. Men and Gods practise some strange musical voodoo on the entranced crowds watching them. It’s powerful stuff, and tonight’s performance with Miss Butterfly is guaranteed to be memorable.
www.myspace.com/menandgods

Vicky Butterfly
Once seen, you will never forget the exquisite Vicky Butterfly, a Carnival Queen with a show-stopping 17″ corseted waist; she is a doll, a butterfly, a peacock, a swan, a silver-screen siren, a living Klimt painting, a sorcerer; fusing old-school glamour with the surreal as well as a modern sense of fun. A trained visual artist, her costumes are surpassingly beautiful, and her background in ballet, tap, circus, drama and opera explains her extensive repertoire and skills as a dancer.
“She has the extraordinary curves, the bee-waist and ripe thighs of a Regency poule de luxe crossed with a Bettie Page vixen’s face” – Marina O’Loughlin, Metro.
“A real innovator … with a bewitching dose of fairy-tale surrealism that stands her sharply apart from the crowd.” – Metro.
“Already threatening to achieve legendary diva status, this classic, mysterious siren is leaving us breathless.” – Bizzarre Magazine.
www.myspace.com/missvickybutterfly

Headline band: Mystery band performing with Trixee Sparkle

Trixee Sparkle
Pure bump ‘n’ grind showgirl dazzle, Trixee will be lighting up the stage tonight with irresistable sauciness, tongue firmly in cheek, the perfect partner for the headlining band – (almost) all will be revealed on the night!
