Hooligan Night

Get into the mood for a mad, minx-y March with Dirty Little Secret at Madame JoJo’s, London! It’s a perfect match when three hot bands line up with three of the UK’s wildest and wickedest burlesque vixens, igniting the stage in a burst of decadence and downright dirty rock ‘n’ roll fun!

On Wednesday 4th March, 2009, the bands are too hot to handle, and the burlesque babes are so sexy they’ll make your eyes water!

Opening:

The Gutter Bravados

The Gutter Bravados performing with Kiki Kaboom

London fourpiece The Gutter Bravados kick off the show in style. Heavily influenced by Bruce Springsteen, The Smiths, Warren Zevon and The Replacements, they bring rock ‘n’ roll with a swagger and a smile. Lead singer Cash Teran has been described as “a demented Morrissey meets Joan Jett”. These guys will set the stage on fire and provide a throbbing frenzy of sound.

Kiki Kaboom
Cheeky Kiki is a charming striptease starlet with an irreverent, wicked sense of humour. Her characters Chavarella and Asbo Girl are fast becoming comic burlesque legends. Sexy, sassy Kiki Kaboom rocks the room!

Second act:

Hooligan Night performing with Ruby Blues

Very special guests for this slot are Hooligan Night, who describe themselves as ‘Glam-Stompin’, Guitar-Twangin’, Blues-Howlin’, Cock-Rocking, Bad-Mouthing, Glitter-Trailing, Velvet-Purring, Electro Gutter-Trash’. The brainchild of delinquent showgirl Ruby Blues and production maestro Nik Diezel; they met while working on a freak show (true!), and were joined by Alabama 3 keyboard player Orlando Harrison and Stereo MC’s drummer Owen Rossiter. Their infectious, genre-bending sound of bass-driven beats and killer hooks accompanies vivid, sleazy tales of the dark side of city life: strange love, urban voodoo, dances with drag queens … Fabulous vocalist/lyricist Ruby Blues will perform her own gorgeous brand of electro-burlesque, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. It’s about to get very noisy …

Headliners:

The Imperial Vipers

The Imperial Vipers performing with Kitty Bang Bang

The ‘Vipers’ swaggering and gritty rock ‘n’ roll has already won them a legion of fans. Ripping out tunes that fall somewhere between Soundgarden and The Clash, their music and live performance is pure street rock. Fresh from touring with Hanoi Rocks who loved their “energy and passion”, they’ve been acclaimed by the rock media including Kerrang! who described them as “an authentic shit-kicking rock ‘n’ roll band with the potential to cause structural damage.”

Kitty Bang Bang
The sensual, sizzling Kitty is so good she’s taken up residence in the house of Dirty Little Secrets, lighting up the stage with her quirky, sexy style, a perfect partnership with the ‘Vipers. Be warned – tonight’s electrifying finale could actually bring the house down!
