Kasabian Receive Mercury Music Prize Nomination For 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'. Shortlist announced.

Kasabian's third album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' has today received a nomination for the Mercury Prize Award.

The band are currently joint-favourites to walk away with the prize, to be announced, September 8, 2009. They also performed an acoustic set at the nomination ceremony in The Hospital Club.

‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ charted at No.1 and has sold 250,000 copies since its release, June 1st.

Kasabian’s epic new single "Where Did All The Love Go?" is released August 17, 2009 and they play the Roundhouse tomorrow (July 22nd), as part of the iTunes festival.
