In addition to playing NYC's Terminal 5 on July 14 and performing in the Dave Matthews Band Caravan in Chicago, the band will be hitting Austin City Limits and the House of Blues in LA as they make their way out to the West Coast playing select dates with the John Butler Trio and Devotchka.
Additionally, they will be hitting the small screen with performances on The Late Show with David Letterman on July 13 and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 25.

The band also just released the brand new video for their hit single "Options" (which you can check out below, here on BandWeblogs.com) - a track Men's Health called "a horn-driven power-pop cut about slackerdom that'll make you miss the '90s."
Here, we see Ian Ball (literally) running through all the different paths his life could have taken. "The idea came to me whilst driving past a guy shouting in the street at nothing in particular; holding a gigantic Starbucks, he was highly agitated by something and the only thing I caught was 'at least I've got options.' It started me thinking about the life choices that will confront us all sooner or later," said Ball.

Serving as the follow-up to their acclaimed 2009 release, A New Tide, their forthcoming Whatever's On Your Mind sees Gomez (Ben Ottewell, Tom Gray, Paul "Blackie" Blackburn, Ian Ball and Olly Peacock) pushing their limits in a way we have not yet heard.
The band partnered up with longtime friend, Sam Farrar (Phantom Planet) to co-produce and sought out to feature other artist friends on the record, Luke Steele (Empire of the Sun, Sleepy Jackson) and Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV on the Radio, Iron and Wine).
Whatever's On Your Mind, finds Gomez driving forward on a beautifully lush and dynamic album. There is a fresh feeling of rebirth and awakening. One to raise a smile even from the naysayers. A broad grin from the rest of us.

Praise for Whatever's On Your Mind:
"'The Place and the People' pairs folky acoustic guitar with laserlike synth riff, while 'Options' and 'I Will Take You There' get funky disco-soul sax licks from Antibalas horn whiz Stuart Bogie" - SPIN
"The quintet plays guitar rock that toys with convention in a way that would make a certain foursome from Liverpool, England proud" - Relix
"…their seventh studio album, finds Gomez on exuberant form" - Mojo
"Their (not so) secret weapon is the ability to change gears between vocalists… all the while bending Latin beats, blues huff and puff and electronic flourishes into something unmistakably Gomez" 4 stars - Q
