They have been active for the last few years building a formidable reputation by touring extensively and swelling it with their own club nights at home in Birmingham. The band has also played some major music festivals including Isle of Wight, Wychwood and the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park.
The Arcadian Kicks - You Play The Girl video:
The Arcadian Kicks have been working and recording with Mike Chapman, the legendary producer of Blondie's classic albums, amongst many others. He rates them highly; "I can honestly say that making this record was right up there with the best work I've done. Any time you get to work with kids who have their kind of skills, you are reminded on a daily basis of why you got into this business in the first place. I love these kids!"
This partnership has resulted in two creative, extremely weird and enjoyable studio sessions, that have produced a dramatic step forward from their indie/rock roots into a unique sonic realm of relentlessly solid rhythm, ethereal melodies and honest lyrics delivered with a powerful audacity that is sure to make it hard for music fans everywhere to ignore.
The Arcadian Kicks get ready for their 2012 releases and a January / February UK tour for the single, "I Wanna Take You Home", with a free entry, hometown concert/party at Birmingham Sunflower Lounge on 14th December.
