The Stone Foxes spent much of the past two years traveling the country in support of their sophomore album Bears & Bulls that NPR said, "tackles ambitious arrangements with diverse moods ranging from acoustic twang to thunderous electric-guitar riffs." They played everything from backyards to National festivals like Outside Lands, Voodoo Fest and Wakarusa.
This year sees Shannon, Spence, Aaron and Elliott laying the foundation for their third full-length record. In the past, the quartet has released each album independently, and this forthcoming record is no exception. The Stone Foxes are maintaining creative control over the new material while expanding their sound and engaging their biggest supporters in the process via Pledge Music. Check out the beginnings of the new track "Small People Small Fire" below.
Relying on their strong and enthusiastic fanbase, they've created a unique Pledge Music campaign. Closing in a week, the campaign includes over 50 exclusive offers ranging from signed CDs and custom made gear to phone greetings and handmade memoribilia from the band. They might take you out for ice cream, thrift store shopping, to a ball game and even chauffeur you and your friends to prom, or play it! More details on the Pledge Campaign can be found on their Pledge Music page (link below).
One quarter of all the money earned above the band's set goal will go to the Raphael House, a non-profit shelter that provides housing and support for homeless families and children in The Stone Foxes' home base of San Francisco & Northern California.
