Yellowcard to release new album 'Southern Air'

With the anticipation building for the release of their new album Southern Air on August 14, 2012 on Hopeless Records, Yellowcard has announced the official presale launch.

"Head over to Hopelessrecords.com/yellowcard and you can pre-order your copy of our new record, Southern Air," said the band in a group statement. "Also for the first 48 hours, our new music video for 'Always Summer' will be streaming exclusively on the Hopeless site! Hope you like it! Enjoy." Limited edition merchandise will be bundled with each purchase.

With the 2012 Vans Warped Tour kicking off last weekend with the band on the mainstage, Yellowcard has whet their fans' appetite for the new album Southern Air with the first-released track "Always Summer," a fresh and energetic guitar-led track which Absolutepunk hails, "The violin solo loudly declares it's time for the weather to get warm... and time to turn up some Yellowcard."

Featuring the crisp production of longtime producer Neal Avron, Southern Air is the sound of band who has not only returned to form but is expanding and growing in confidence with the help and support of the people who welcomed them with open arms - the fans. Always a band who has a very tight connection with their fans, the pre-sale bundles have plenty for fans to get excited about.

With over two million albums sold and eight singles that have received significant Top 40 and Alternative radio airplay including the smash hit "Ocean Avenue", Yellowcard's most recent studio album, When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes debuted on at #19 on Billboard's Top 200 albums and top ten charts worldwide when it was released last Spring.

Their upcoming album is set for release this summer and features guest vocals from Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday), and Tay Jardine (We Are The In Crowd).
