Building on their reputation for uplifting melodies and haunting vocal harmonies, Native Roses release their latest EP 'Colours.'
With the stunning tracks combining sing-along choruses, upbeat swinging rhythms and sublime harmonies and instrumentation, Native Roses have created the perfect soundtrack to the festival season and beyond.
Having formed off the back of their old band Modern Fighting Vehicles, with the addition of Atlantic Records signed Birdy on backing vocals and Jessica Illsley playing harmonica and guiro, they hit the road and the studio - catching the attention of many labels and gaining a slot on BBC Introducing.
'Colours' is warm and thick with harmony, textured with a wide range of instrumentation and percussion while still leaving ample space for the vocals to lead.
It's these formidable male/female vocal arrangements where they rise above their peers; reminiscent of an early Arcade Fire presenting a subtle confidence that belies their age. Their raw talent for performance transcends the studio confines instilling a live feeling on the recording.
Not content with one legendary producer, Native Roses are currently putting the finishing touches to their second record with critically acclaimed and former member of Roxy Music, Guy Fletcher. It will be produced alongside, multi-platinum songwriter and founding member of Dire Straits, John Illsley.
