Fly, Frankie, Fly is the electro-pop production-powerhouse of Francois Cote and Matt Lewis, and they release their debut EP 'It's Do Or Die' on October 8, 2012 through their own label, Neon Tribe Records.
They've a penchant for dressing up, something which reflects the two distinct characters behind the music; Matt, the camera-shy wizard of geekery, the man behind the beats, who uses costumes as a means of disguise on-stage; Then there's Frankie, the front man and lyricist, the outlandish and utterly unique character, part native-American, inked-up giant who's costumes are nothing more than an extension of his huge personality.
Radio 1's Rob Da Bank has been an early supporter of Fly, Frankie, Fly, booking them immediately for Bestival 2011 after hearing the duo's early demos. Refusing to box their sound into any strict genre classifications, he's labelled their music as 'Amazing, but kind of indescribable.'
The duo have since played alongside the likes of Vula, Shy Child, Sonic Boom Six and I Haunt Wizards.
Taking their cues from a variety of influences, It's Do Or Die is the proving ground for Fly, Frankie, Fly. It's an amalgamation of their broad spectrum of tastes, covering everything from Dub-Step and R'n'B to Rock and Metal. This duo are constantly creating and with new material flowing rapidly, the future of Fly, Frankie, Fly looks to be on an interesting trajectory.
Fly, Frankie, Fly will be touring the UK with a full live band this September, dates to be announced shortly.
They release the single One For The Liars on the 1st of October.
