The new video, directed by Alex Southam, has been edited to include more references to the famous Italian painting that inspired the original video, Raphael's The School of Athens.
alt-J - "Tessellate (video remix)":
The "Tessellate" video remix comes hot on the heels of the band's recent collaboration with My Morning Jacket front-man Jim James for a remix of their song "Fitzpleasure." James' harmony-laced remix breathes new life into "Fitzpleasure" while staying true to alt-J's unique sound.
"Tessellate" and "Fitzpleasure" are songs featured on the band's debut album An Awesome Wave. The record will be released next week, on September 18, 2012. The album was previously released in the UK to much acclaim, with BBC Music calling it "strong, addictive and enthralling, the perfect accompaniment to any mood, any moment, anywhere," and The Guardian calling them, "the most successful new British band of the year."
The band is beginning the newest leg of their US tour with a sold-out show at New York City's Bowery Ballroom. For a complete list of tour dates, please go to the band's official website.
