Angelique Kidjo - Djin DjinAngelique Kidjo is a four-time Grammy nominated singer and composer originally from Benin in West Africa. Due to political turmoil in her country, Angelique Kidjo relocated to Paris in the 80's where she continued her music career and then eventually moved to her current home in New York City. She's currently on tour and is set to play Live Earth South Africa at The Cradle of Human Kind, Maropeng (near Johannesburg) on July 7th 2007.

Djin Djin is Angelique Kidjo's latest album which was released in May 2007. The album was produced by Tony Visconti (T. Rex, David Bowie, Boomtown Rats, Morrissey) and includes guest artists Carlos Santana, Branford Marsalis, Josh Groban, Alicia Keys, Peter Gabriel, Joss Stone, Malian husband-and-wife team Amadou and Mariam and Ziggy Marley.
