MURS to perform MySpace Release Show + NEW album on Warner Bros. Records

MURS For President

MySpace Music is proud to announce that emcee MURS will be performing a free show for his MySpace friends at b.side Lounge in Boulder, CO, on Monday, September 29, 2008 – a show being powered by AT&T. Showtime for the 21+ show will be at 9 p.m. and admittance will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

As one of the stand-out emcees of the indie hip-hop group Living Legends, MURS has been forging his own path through the various collaborations and albums he’s released since he came on the scene in the early 1990s. Working with the likes of El-P’s Definitive Jux on his recent solo albums and Atmosphere’s Slug in the duo Felt, MURS has remained a staple in the indie-rap scene all due to his consistent output and desire to remain relevant.

Now with “MURS for President,” MURS’ genre-bending and politically-focused major label debut on Warner Bros. Records, he is fully prepared for the next phase in his musical mission of being a spokesman for hip-hop’s continued preservation.
