GSBoyz sign with Battery/Jive Records + watch Do Da Stanky Legg Dance video

Battery/Jive Records have teamed with Yung Joc’s Swagg Team Entertainment and their blazing new artists, The GS Boyz. Needing no introduction, The GS Boyz has originated the nation’s biggest song and dance craze: The Stanky Legg.

From its genesis in teen nightclubs in the group’s hometown of Arlington, Texas, to millions of hits on YouTube and MySpace prominence, now to worldwide exposure and renown via satellite radio, the dance boasts millions of practitioners. And the accompanying single “Stanky Legg,” has garnered legions of fans.
Says Yung Joc: “I’m pleased to announce this business venture between Them GS Boyz, Swagg Team, and Battery/Jive Records. Please be advised that this act is not a one-hit wonder. The hits to come will leave other labels wondering why they didn’t sign Them GS Boyz first.”
In turn Jeff Sledge who is responsible for bringing the group in says; “I’m excited to be able to continue a great working relationship with Swagg Team and Yung Joc. Joc has a great eye and ear for new talent and signing the GS Boyz will be another huge success for him and us.”
Neil Levine, Battery Records’ Senior Vice President and General Manager, adds: “The Stanky Legg Dance by the GS Boyz is blowing up as the newest dance craze sweeping the country with millions of viral views. We’re happy to be in business with Yung Joc’s Swagg Entertainment and looking forward to taking this movement to the next level.”
The GS Boyz, originally a duo comprising “Prince Charming” aka Mathew Griffith and “Slizz” aka Keithian Cherry, assembled in 2005 around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. “Marc D” aka Maus Dinkins, Decory “DK” Kenner, and “Soufside” would come later.
With a string of regional hits like “Hit the G-Spot,” “Twisted,” “He Don’t Deserve You,” and “First Time” making noise, the Boyz attracted the attention of high-profile Louisiana DJ Bay Bay, known best for breaking Hurricane Chris and his smash single “A Bay Bay.”
DJ Bay Bay helped push their most recent composition, “Stanky Legg,” which has snowballed into a global maelstrom. The song has currently peaked on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Charts at #62 entirely independently, with over 4000 spins at radio and is still growing.
Meanwhile, The GS Boyz are busy touring with headline acts Soulja Boy, Lil’ Flip, Bun B, and others.
