Passion Pit on Twitter + unveil NEW single on MySpace + tour dates

Passion Pit

Still basking in the afterglow of several hot-ticket SXSW performances, and Tweeting the hell out of their time in Austin on twitter, electro-pop wunderkinds Passion Pit are offering up the first taste from their debut LP, ‘Manners’, due May 19, 2009 on Frenchkiss Records.

“The Reeling,” teased earlier this winter in a direct-from-the-studio Fader.tv clip, was premiered this week exclusively on Myspace Music.

“The Reeling” widget:

Representative of Manners’ newfound size and scope, the track builds ambitiously on the simple electro-pop of the Pit’s short-player ‘Chunk of Change’, without losing the EP’s economy and winning energy. The Chris Zane produced ‘Manners’ is currently available for pre-order at Insound.com, where early birds can count on getting an exclusive poster with their purchase.

To coincide with the premiere of “The Reeling,” the band has also announced a full slate of US shows to compliment their already crowded Spring and Summer festival schedule and overseas itinerary.

Kicking off at this year’s Sasquatch! Festival in Washington, the tour winds its way up and down the West Coast before hitting the South and North East, ending with a two-night stint at Bowery Ballroom in New York City.
