Tonight we’re gonna party like it’s 1998…

Stereophonics

Cardiff Castle Show, Saturday, October 3rd

Tickets Go On Sale Wednesday, September 9th

‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ Brand New Studio Album Out November 16th

To celebrate the release of their brand new studio album, Stereophonics are returning to the site of their historic 1998 Cardiff Castle show for a special afternoon concert, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the year.

Tickets for the show are priced at £12.50(!) – the same price they were at their iconic show in June 1998, when they played to over 10,000 fans in the first show at the castle in over 20 years!

Tickets for the October 3, 2009 Cardiff Castle show are available, exclusively through Stereophonics.com at 9AM, Wednesday, 9th September, 2009.

This exclusive castle show, which no one has played in 8 years, is also an opportunity to catch the band live and upfront as they preview several new songs alongside their classic hits before the release of their eagerly awaited brand new studio album ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ out November 16th on Mercury Records.

The new record is written by Kelly Jones, who also co-produced the album with Mercury award-winning producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian).

The stunning 12-track collection is the band’s seventh studio album – their previous five studio albums have all gone straight to No.1 and last November they released their career embracing ‘Greatest Hits Collection’ ‘Decade In The Sun’, which sold almost a million copies in two months.

The Cardiff Castle show is Stereophonics’ first UK performance since they headlined the massive Isle Of Wight Festival in June, which was their only festival appearance of the summer.

Stereophonics – Kelly Jones (Songwriter, Vocals, Guitars), Richard Jones (Bass), Javier Weyler (Drums) and Adam Zindani (Guitars) with 11 Top Five singles, 21 Top 20s and five consecutive No.1 albums have stood the test of time to become one of Britain’s biggest bands.
