OK Go will perform on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien Friday, January 8, 2010.

The appearance comes just prior to the January 12th release of the band's latest album, 'Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky', which earned a 4 1/2 star out of 5 review from Alternative Press, reminding the critic to "start drafting that 'Best of 2010' list, right now" while Spin praised it as "ambitious," comparing the rhythm section to a "stealth weapon...they explode with the force of a polyrhythmic fireworks display."

The group has been busy developing videos to accompany each of the album's 13 tracks. With 175 million video streams and counting, OK Go is the most-downloaded band ever.

The group created an international phenomenon in 2005 with its "A Million Ways" video, which simply featured the four members dancing in a backyard, and followed it with the decade's most-viewed music video, "Here It Goes Again," which was awarded a GRAMMY®.

Working with friend and video director Tim Nackashi, OK Go has cooked up a color-drenched video for lead single "WTF?" using props purchased at the 99¢ Only Store and the band's trademark single-shot approach.

The "WTF?" video is also featured on the Yahoo! home page, MySpace (where it was a Staff Pick), AOL home page, MSN, Windows Media Guide, Alloy and Clear Channel. It's been added to MTVu, Music Choice and, as the Buzz Clip of the Week, to Much Music. It's attracted the attention of numerous bloggers - including Kanye West and William Gibson. The Notre Dame marching band appear in OK Go's next video - the first of two for "This Too Shall Pass" - which will premiere on YouTube on January 12th, the album's release date. With its live performance, "This Too Shall Pass" marks the first time that a video and the recording session were one and the same. Passion Pit's remix of the song - leaked by NME before Christmas - is in the Top 20 on the remix charts.

For future videos, the band has enlisted the talents of a team of engineers from NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratories, animals, a Dutch artist and MIT Media Lab students.

MySpace will give the album its worldwide premiere on January 7th and NPR's "Morning Edition" will run a piece on OK Go the following day, January 8th. Tastemaker radio stations such as KCRW are playing numerous tracks from the record, which was produced by ex-Mercury Rev member David Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT) and is the follow-up to 2005's 'Oh No'.

The group contributed a new song to the film and soundtrack for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and will be on the upcoming Muppets Tribute album, scheduled for April 2010 release.

Lead singer/guitarist Damian Kulash, who testified before Congress in support of net neutrality and has penned an Op Ed piece on the topic for The New York Times, will be writing a regular column for GQ's website.

In his first piece, he recounts OK Go's experiences at Design Miami, where the band performed on Gibson guitars customized by designer Moritz Waldemeyer utilizing laser lights and FENDI materials. (GQ article). The group has been featured in ad campaigns for Banana Republic and Uniqlo.
