Camilla Kerslake: The Story So Far...
The classical diva-ette's high-profile 2010
A nomination for Best Album at this week's Classical BRIT Awards would leave some resting on their laurels. However, after receiving this honour for her self-titled debut, classical crossover sensation Camilla Kerslake has been far from restful during the first few months of 2010.

A relative unknown this time last year, Camilla's swift ascent to stardom has been nothing short of spectacular.
The first signing to Gary Barlow's Future Records, she's performed at Buckingham Palace for Prince Charles' charity dinner, Wembley Stadium for the Carling Cup final, and twice graced the stage at the Royal Albert Hall (Classic FM Live and Classic Response 2010).
As if that wasn't enough, she's even sung at the Houses of Parliament for UK Music's 'Liberating Creativity' event, and has just finished a stint on the road with All Angels.
Currently on tour with The Priests and set to feature on the Classical BRITs first charity single "Nessun Dorma: Live from the BRITs", there are further exciting performances on the horizon, including Derby Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse and a concert with Russell Watson and the National Symphony Orchestra at the Sandringham Estate.
Camilla - an Ambassador for The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts - has also stayed dedicated to charity work. In addition to recording "The Prayer" charity single for the Haiti aid effort, she was invited by Nordoff Robbins to the Sandown Races in April, and will be appearing at Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's UK-wide 'That Glorious Noise' summer events.
As well as taking to stages across the UK, Camilla's been gracing our TV screens with appearances on Popstar to Opera Star and BBC1's School Choir of the Year. She's also appeared twice on Songs of Praise and on The Alan Titchmarsh show.
Camilla is currently in the studio recording her second album, which is due for release this autumn.
All this and we're still only five months into the year - we can't wait to see what she'll get up to during the next seven!
Classical BRIT Awards show night is Thursday 13th May, 2010 at The Royal Albert Hall with host Myleene Klass.
