Hyper rad three man band Sir Yes Sir will release their debut album Reigning Over Silence on Hope Club Records on August 2, 2010.

Sir Yes Sir's recent EP Not Excited was released on limited edition cassette earlier this year and had music critics, DJs and fans dusting off their walkmans and giving it some reel rotation.

They've picked up opening spots for Johnny Foreigner and Egyptian Hip Hop and have performed live in session for Marc Riley on BBC 6 music and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1.

The band is Daniel Cowley (bass / vox), Joseph Logan (guitar / vox) and Sam Turner (drums) and their debut album on Hope Club records is action packed with "in short, wordy self righteous emo" says Joe.

Reassuringly lo-fi, Sir Yes Sir songs deal with the ups and downs of day to day let downs with arch precision and a big, beautiful noise reminiscent of the Cribs and Sonic Youth.

Reigning Over Silence was recorded in a north London studio with producer Harvey Birrell (Dananananaykroyd, Good Shoes, Johnny Foreigner).

Following their radio debut on BBC 6 music, the live session for Huw Stephens and a string of shows with top quality bands ahead, Sir Yes Sir are keen to remember what is really important: "We have remained the same throughout the history of SYS; still no facial hair can be mustered between us, still need to try harder to complete the transformation from part time shelf stacker to full time indie slacker, still vote Tory."
