The announcement coincides with the UK release of new single "Sensations In The Dark". The enthralling video is directed by Peter Gray.

Hotel Shampoo is Gruff's third solo album and his most accomplished yet, filled with shimmering slices of kaleidoscopic, cinematic pop, including first single "Shark Ridden Waters" which saw its video debut on Pitchfork TV last month. As a testament to the album title and inspiration, Gruff recently created an art installation - a hotel made entirely of bathroom items garnered from various hotels throughout his touring career - and spent the night sleeping inside. It can be viewed at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff.

The North American release of Hotel Shampoo sees Gruff reunited with some old friends. Wichita Recordings' founders Dick Green and Mark Bowen were responsible for signing Super Furry Animals to Creation Records in 1994. Following Creation's retirement the pair set up Wichita - now in its 10th year - where they've released a string of successes with artists like Bloc Party, The Cribs and Los Campesinos!. They recently began distributing their releases independently in the USA, kicking off with the dazzling debut from Swedish folk-pop duo First Aid Kit.

Gruff will be announcing a slew of North American dates shortly. His UK and Europe tour is as follows.
