Blur Bassist Alex James Presents HARVEST: Music and Culinary Festival 2011 to Take Place on his Farm in Kingham, UK

'Harvest', the festival with a bite, has been given the green light to go ahead this year as it confirms its event license has been granted.

This exciting news couldn't come at a better time as HARVEST prepares for its first year at the Kingham farm of Alex James, bassist of legendary Brit-pop band Blur, with a bumper line-up of the very best bands, Michelin starred chefs and the finest family entertainment.

Festival goers will feast on an exciting menu (both musical and culinary), including chart-topping bands The Kooks, The Feeling and Athlete, River Cottage's Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall; singer-songwriter KT Tunstall; Michelin starred chef Richard Corrigan; hip New Zealand band Fat Freddy's Drop; Guardian restaurant critic and author Jay Rayner; radio royalty Jo Whiley; world renowned chef Yotam Ottolenghi; gastronomy pioneer Nuno Mendes; rising talent and singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich; Great British Restaurant champion Tom Kerridge and field to fork experts Monty and Sarah Don.

Festival Directors Dom Gomez and Clare Isaacs say, "With only 25 days to go till Harvest, everything is shaping up for a magical feast for the senses. We can't wait to see Alex's farm come alive with our favorite chefs and bands."

Alex James Presents Harvest will also be bringing celebrated food writer and renowned restaurateur Mark Hix's West-End restaurant HIX at Harvest alongside a feast of exclusive top London pop-up restaurants, workshops and a farmers market. The Daylesford Cookery School will be running classes all weekend showcasing the very best of their seasonal farm produce as well as demonstrating some of their signature dishes.

Kingham's own Emily Watkins, Heston Blumenthal's protégé and chef at The Kingham Plough, has also been confirmed to join the line up in the outdoor cookery theatre.

HARVEST is also pleased to announce that Commotion, a family festival that is run by a group of music loving parents in Kingham which helps support music education in the community and CLIC Sargent (supporting children and young people with cancer), will be taking over the festival on the Friday evening with an exciting musical program for all to enjoy under the stars.

Entertainment for the whole family will be brought to you by family favorites Charlie and Lola (Live) and Opera Holland Park's adaptation of Road Dahl's classic Fantastic Mr Fox as well as children's cookery classes, craft workshops and the chance to be a rock star with Witchwood School Of Rock.

Festival goers don't need to worry about 'roughing-it' either as HARVEST offers a glamp-tastic haven in the shape of the Harvest Hotel - luxury boutique Yurts, Tipis and Bell Tents, all complete with a concierge service and a breakfast-in-bed menu.

The festival will take place from 9-12th September 2011
