"6 More Weeks" is part of a split 7" with Violens, out now on Friendly Fire Recordings.
This is Erika Spring's first solo project away from Au Revoir Simone, and the original song features Jorge Elbrecht of Violens and Will Berman of MGMT.
Chrome Canyon infuses the track with his signature synths, speeds up the tempo and gives it a vibed - out nu-disco twist.
After Apes & Android's 2009 breakup, Morgan Z began his own recording studio in Brooklyn, where he started collecting vintage synthesizers. Chrome Canyon's sound is heavily layered with analog synths weaving in a psychedelic pastiche of Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder and Pink Floyd and one can expect to hear it in an epic soundtrack fashion on Elemental Themes.
