Lovett has been nominated for an MTV O Music Award for Best Web-Born Artist based on a series of "passionate, blockbuster-sized" (My Old Kentucky Blog) collaborations with film directors, interpreting songs from his self-released album 'Highway Collection.'

In the Web-Born category, Lovett is honored to be nominated alongside Odd Future, The Weeknd, Kina Grannis and MDNR.

The new awards series from MTV, now in its second year, celebrates the best in digital music and artists who are innovators in the changing multimedia landscape.

Last year's winners include now rising stars The Lonely Island and Andy Grammer.

Winners will be announced during a live webcast on October 31, 2011 at omusicawards.com.

The fourth installment in Lovett's video series, the short film Ghost of Old Highways, is his most ambitious to date. The film recently premiered to a buzzing crowd at LA's Carmichael Gallery and will screen in NY in November.
