ANYONE CAN PLAY GUITAR 2-DISC SPECIAL EDITION DVD!

On November 4th, Canal Cat Films release the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Anyone Can Play Guitar, Jon Spira's epic but intimate documentary about Radiohead, Supergrass, Foals, Swervedriver and Ride and the small town, Oxford music scene that they all came from.

THE DVD will be available at ACPGTHEMOVIE.COM, amazon.co.uk and selected independent record shops.

Special features include DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY and BONUS DOCUMENTARIES:

POST RIDE (30mins) - Ride members Andy Bell, Mark Gardener and Loz Colbert discuss what happened to them individually after splitting up the band. Andy talks about his time fronting Hurricaine 1 and how he came to join Oasis. Mark discusses his various dance music projects and The Animalhouse, his concept album collaboration with Sam Williams. Loz discusses joining the reformed Jesus & Mary Chain.

KNIVES OUT (50mins) - The Young Knives were the only Oxford band conspicuous by their absence in the film. This special feature starts with the deleted section from the original film, followed by a recent interview with the band covering their views of the Oxford scene and why they became contentious figures within it.

DUSTBALL + UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH = DIVE DIVE (30mins) - How two of 90's Oxford's most popular bands joined forces to once again almost make it and the unexpected success which has come through being Frank Turner's backing band.

VIDEOSYNCRATIC (19mins) - A short documentary by Jon about the closing of his indie video shop on the Cowley Road.

"ACPG is a uniquely staggering piece of work" - THE FOUROHFIVE.COM

"Balanced and Awesome. Seriously recommend you see it" - TIME OUT
