Jonquil Debuts Keep Shelly In Athens Remix of New Single "Run"

Having wrapped up a their first ever national tour with Keep Shelly In Athens, including sets at SXSW '12, and a sold-out NYC show with Snow Patrol, Jonquil has unleashed a breezy Keep Shelly in Athens remix of their next single "Run."

The Grecian duo bring their sepia-soaked synths and angelic atmospheres into "Run," deconstructing the track and reshaping it into something distant and ethereal.

The original version of "Run" will be released in May - details to be announced.

The Oxford, UK quartet led by Hugo Manuel (who also performs as Chad Valley) released Point Of Go earlier this year with Dovecote Records, as USA Today declared it their "most accessible record to date."

With influences from Fleetwood Mac to The Smiths, Chic and Earth, Wind and Fire to Arthur Russell, it's an album that fully embraces what the 70s and 80s understood creating something that's fundamentally clever in its very simplicity.

Point Of Go was released in the rest of the world via Oxford's Blessing Force label - newly set up by and for a burgeoning community of musicians and artists from the area and one which also involves the band's other projects (Chad Valley, Solid Gold Dragons and Pocket House).
