Blur to headline Converse Represent @ London's 100 Club on August 2nd

WHAT: After weeks of speculation and anticipation, Converse is excited to announce Blur as the very special guests to headline REPRESENT at the legendary 100 Club on Thursday 2nd August 2012.

Twenty one years after the release of their debut album 'Leisure' in 1991, Blur have written two new songs - Under The Westway and The Puritan - ahead of a sold out return to London's Hyde Park on Sunday 12th August. And now Thursday 2nd August will see the multi award-winning, four-piece play their first ever gig at 100 Oxford Street performing tracks from across their acclaimed career.

In what will be an extremely exclusive and intimate performance for a fortunate few, there is no doubt that the show will go down as one of the magical music moments in the 100 Club's history, completing a week which will have seen the likes of Plan B, UK Subs, Paul Weller and Spiritualized take to the legendary stage.

"REPRESENT builds on our global commitment to music," said Geoff Cottrill, Chief Marketing Office, Converse. "We're excited to bring such an amazing and diverse roster of artists under one roof and to give music fans around the world a chance to participate in the action through our live streams or here on the ground in London."

REPRESENT is a celebration of musical diversity, featuring 45 Artists who have shaped the global music landscape of the past, present and future. The series will see the likes of Plan B, Nas, Paul Weller, SBTRKT, Santigold, Toots & The Maytals, Overkill and now very special guests BLUR, headline the exclusive shows.

For a final chance to be at this incredible gig, fans will need to visit converse.co.uk/blur from 9:00 AM on Wednesday 1st August 2012.

Ticket registration will be open between 9:00 - 18:00 after which winners will be selected at random and notified. Successful applicants will receive notification via email, inviting them to confirm attendance by midday on Thursday 2nd August. On completion, an e-ticket will be generated for successful applicant and guest.

WHEN: Blur will headline REPRESENT on Thursday 2nd August 2012 at 10:15 PM. The Converse REPRESENT music series kicks off on Monday 30th July and runs until Friday 10th August, 2012.
