Dropkick Murphys announce additional fall tour dates

Hot on the heels of their great performance at the first Gentlemen of the Road Stopover with Mumford & Sons in Portland, ME last weekend, Dropkick Murphys are excited to announce new tour dates beginning in late October and running through November.

The tour begins on Oct 29 in Grand Rapids, and includes a number of dates along the West Coast and the Mountain States. Presale for these shows will run on the band's website beginning on Tuesday, Aug 14 through Thursday, Aug 16, 2012. Most shows go onsale to the general public on Friday, Aug 17, 2012.

The band are currently preparing to kick off their "Halfway To St. Patrick's Day Tour" on September 14, highlighted by a September 21 hometown performance at Boston's Bank Of America Pavilion waterfront amphitheatre. The band will be supported by a number of acts on tour, including Snapcase, Creepshow, Elle King, and The Devil Makes Three.

Dropkick Murphys - Al Barr (lead vocals), Tim Brennan (guitars, accordion, whistle, vocals), Ken Casey (lead vocals, bass guitar), Jeff DaRosa (banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, harmonica, vocals), Matt Kelly (drums, vocals), James Lynch (guitar, vocals), and Scruffy Wallace (bagpipes, tin whistles) - are touring in support of their critically acclaimed Going Out In Style and Going Out In Style: Fenway Park Bonus Edition CDs, both released via the band-owned Born & Bred Records.

Dropkick Murphys are nearly finished with the recording of their new, as-yet-untitled album, due out sometime next year.
