Iconic Australian band Regurgitator are back with a video for "All Fake Everything", the latest single from new release SuperHappyFunTimesFriends.
Having just had classic albums UNIT and Tu-Plang rank #10 and #44 respectively in the Australian youth broadcaster's triple j's publicly voted 'Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time', Regurgitator serves up their hotly anticipated 7th full-length SuperHappyFunTimesFriends.
Shacked up in their Melbourne studio/dwellings, Quan Yeomans and Ben Ely set about recording the work, with a focus and a timeframe. What resulted was the frenzy of an artistic tempest whipped up by the wild seas of a deadline.
Released on vinyl, cassette, CD, digitally and even Playbutton (a wearable music device), the album shows Regurgitator's iconic sense of playfulness and irony.
SuperHappyFunTimesFriends comes as an assembled mass of styles, sounds & attitudes, fueled as much by an unmitigated irony and geek nature as an irreverent take on the band themselves, corporate culture, and human social behaviour.
Regurgitator - "All Fake Everything" video:
From the upbeat ode to insignificance "One Day", to the tales of hardship from the cold front of rapper stardom of "All Fake Everything", odd-ball psychedelia prevalent in "Super Happy Funtime" to smokey 80's pop drama "Into the Night", SuperHappyFunTimesFriends is testament to Regugitator's freakish and undying talent for unpredictability.
