FIRE ISLAND PINES ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE "1915" ON LIMITED EDITION ORANGE VINYL AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

Cornish six-piece Fire Island Pines have announced their brand new single "1915", to be released in the UK, US and Japan on April 29, 2013.

Available for digital download and on strictly limited edition 7" vinyl, "1915" is another triumphant track from Fire Island Pines, loaded with the bands trademark jangling guitars, bursts of trumpet and tortured existentialism.

Fire Island Pines - 1915 video:

The twelve hands of Fire Island Pines first sprang to light last year with their Rickie Lee Jones EP, quickly winning support from the likes of Bethan Elfyn and Charlie Ashcroft on Amazing Radio, as well as picking up the ears of US label Manic! Pop who will release the new single this month.

With comparisons ranging from Felt, The Smiths and Orange Juice, to Los Compesinos! and Real Estate, Fire Island Pines have honed their unique sound in an abandoned sawmill in the remote South-West of England, entirely self-producing the new release.

As the closing heartbeats of "1915" ask "you wanna stick around?", on the strength of this new single we definitely do.

Fire Island Pines new single "1915" will be available on April 29th 2013 on limited edition orange 7" vinyl and digital download through the Manic! Pop label in the US, as well as available from the Stone Records store in Japan and directly from the band and select independent record stores in the UK.
