“These guys are the direction in which reggae should be heading” Dennis Bovell

“They are brilliant, I’m a fan.” Mad Professor

Andy Baron + Concrete Johnson release their debut single,a superb lover’s rock version of the John Legend hit Ordinary People and an original composition Mindflow which shows off their own quality song writing.

Andy Baron started his musical career as a youth mcing with sound systems and at clubs but soon felt the need to write his own songs and so turned to his acoustic guitar. In 2001 he travelled to Jamaica to record his debut album “Believe In Yourself”. Andy performed regularly solo or with backing band The Believers in England, France, Czech Republic and Jamaica. Building a reputation as a world class vocalist Andy has supported acts including Steel Pulse, Horace Andy, Morgan Heritage and Culture selling thousands of cd’s along the way.

Concrete Johnson started playing bass aged 13 and by 16 he was gigging every night. After a few years of playing nearly every pub and club in the country Concrete Johnson was asked to play on countless dance tracks and has been the backbone of numerous Bristol drum’n’bass records, most recently contributing to a reggae album for Boy George.

Andy Baron + Concrete Johnson started working together in 2005 and soon found themselves surrounded by some of the finest British based reggae musicians including Richie Stevens, Jeff Scantlebury, Winston Rollins, Tim Cansfield and Milton Myrie who have between them have worked with Maxi Priest, Aswad, Shaggy, Eddy Grant, Soul2Soul and many many more. They record and rehearse in their own studio in a condemned building in West London and promote their music by gigging and using online sites such as youtube and here on myspace.

Ordinary People, Mindflow and Ordinary Dub is out now as a limited edition 12” vinyl on their own brilliantly named i and i tunes label and is available for download on itunes.
