British Music Week – NEW social networking site + The Download Music Awards

British Music Week welcomes the launch of brand new Music Social Networking Site and Digital Awards Show!!

British Music Week announced today the launch of its brand new interactive social networking site geared at bringing musicians, labels, brand managers and music fans together.

Marketing Manager of British Music Week, Machael Laubscher commented “As an event directly responsible for shaping music fans, booking agents and consumers worldwide we felt that it was the best time to create a unique environment for all music lovers who attend British Music Week in their thousands annually to continually keep in touch throughout the year leading up to the event”.

Visitors can now register @ create a profile, add friends, invite fans and have direct access to a brand new online community that is home for the latest music news, music reviews and the biggest European music event.

To celebrate the 5th year of British Music Week since it was opened by ex-Mayor Ken Livingstone. A new awards show has also been announced to take place annually at this year’s event.

The Download Music Awards launches for the 1st time at British Music Week 2009 on the 2nd of October 2009.

The awards show will be the 1st international awards show of its kind to embrace the whole download music industry and celebrate the achievements of acts that have been extremely successful within the download music market.

Nominees for each categories will be voted for by the public.

The 5th annual British Music Week takes place from the 1st till the 7th of October 2009.

The week of activities will include, conferences, seminars, workshops, awards ceremonies and more.
