Arctic Monkeys "Dancing Shoes" Featuring Rhythms Del Mundo
The Video They Didn't Want You To See
A controversial charity video banned by the Arctic Monkeys three years ago will become an official download in order to raise money and awareness for the fight against climate change.
The Cuban-style version and video of "Dancing Shoes" was donated by the Arctic Monkeys in December 2006 to the charity Artists Project Earth (APE) and released on the Rhythms Del Mundo 'Cuba' album. But after a single airing on GMTV, the video was suddenly withdrawn by the Arctic's management, the charity allegedly being told 'F*** climate change'. No further reasons for this reaction were given either by the band or its management.

Now, in the run up to COP15, APE has decided to ignore the Arctic's brusque response and will be making this legendary video available for download.
Watch video:
"I know we'll be in danger of upsetting the Artic Monkeys and we are grateful that they gave us their performance in the first place," said APE founder Kenny Young, "But the situation regarding climate change is too crucial and we can't wait. We need to raise awareness and funds and this video is brilliant, so we're going to go ahead and release it."
Kenny Young, famous for penning songs for The Rolling Stones, Jay-Z, and other major artists, has helped raise millions through APE's Afro-Cuban house band Rhythms Del Mundo's projects.
He will be attending the COP15 Climate Change Conference to represent the concerns and contributions from the world's leading musicians over the issue of Climate Change.
Fans can download the exclusive video and MP3s for free from 9th December, 2009 for a limited period and later through itunes and other online outlets.
In October APE awarded $100,000 to charitable causes in the fight against climate change. Further details here
