Erased was written during the Israeli/Palestinian conflict back in January of 2009. The result is an effort decidedly edgier than his previous work. With songs like "Outrage", "Quicksand", and "Screw", Grenga Ma lets you know how he feels about war, politics, and money.

The title track, "Erased", explores Kubark consequences ("Who could be they, that took you away, to blanken your slate through and through?"), while "Numb and Down" are more personal, expressing his general feelings of helplessness about war and other current events.

"Barrier" dives into the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, with the barrier being a reference to Israel's security fence; and further, a metaphor for yet another obstacle to peace. The contentious and debated "right of return" for Palestinians was the inspiration for "Home", "I'm a long way from home / But the road that goes back is gone / I long, for that journey home". Lastly, "Move" is a call to action: "Take to the streets, speak up, and make yourself heard / Make him hear each and every word".

Grenga Ma wrote and recorded Erased in the confines of his small studio, nicknamed "The Closet", which certainly lends to the general mood of the album. Trapped. Confined. Helpless.
