Charlie Simpson will play a one-off show at London's Tabernacle on May 10, 2011.

This is the first chance to see the stunning new musical incarnation of the Fightstar frontman live.

Charlie Simpson releases debut solo single "Down Down Down"

"Down Down Down", the multi-textured debut solo single taken from Charlie Simpson's forthcoming album 'Young Pilgrim' is currently Fearne Cotton's Record of the Week on Radio 1 and has also been playlisted by the station. It is available to download from iTunes now, with an impact date of May 16th.

Produced by Danton Supple (Coldplay, Doves) the track is an acoustic based, harmony flooded alt.ballad inspired in part by Charlie's love of the Beach Boys, Jackson Browne and Elliott Smith.

Charlie Simpson's debut solo album 'Young Pilgrim', is set for release on August 15th.

Tickets for the Tabernacle show go on sale at 9am on Friday April 15, 2011 from 0844 811 0051

A three track EP featuring the original demo of "Down Down Down" is currently available to download free at Charlie Simpson's Official Website.
