Vienna Ditto will be releasing their second single "Bells", a sweet but spooky slice of effervescent melancholica on February 14th 2012, on Silver Street Singles Club.
The band has previously been likened to Portishead soundtracking a lost Tarantino movie, but this is more like The BBC Radiophonic workshop soundtracking The Science of Sleep.
The B-side "Snowbound" is a return to their usual brand of Voodoo Sci-Fi Blues.
"Bells" will be available as a free download from soundcloud and viennaditto.bandcamp.com, as well as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc.
The band is working on a short animated promo film to accompany the release, featuring singer Hatty Taylor’s wire children, to be released at the same time.
The band will be doing a limited number of hand-made copies of the single, available from viennaditto.bandcamp.com.

About the band:
Vienna Ditto jerked into life in April 2009 when a hastily-recorded demo from their second rehearsal was picked by Linda Serck on BBC Berks and ended up being played on Huw Stephen's Radio One show. An appearance on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury Festival followed and the band have since been given a Maida Vale session for Tom Robinson on BBC6 and have appeared on Channel 4's Hollyoaks Music Show.
Their debut single "Long Way Down" gained airplay on Radio One, BBC6 Music and XFM and was given glowing reviews in Q Magazine, Artrocker and The Fly. They are currently working on their debut album, due for release Autumn 2012.
"Portishead doing a Tarantino soundtrack" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
"With Smoky-voiced femme fatale Hatty Taylor on vocals, London-based three piece Vienna Ditto mix wild-eyed rockabilly riffs with sparse, atmospheric electronica." - Q Magazine: Net Big Things: The best music online
"Fantastically dirty… one of the catchiest choruses I've ever heard… made me want to dance round my bedroom with my hairbrush" - Esther Press, The Fly Magazine
