Ólafur Arnalds Single Featured on New The Hunger Games Soundtrack

Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds' single "Allt varð hljótt" from his 2009 'Found Songs' EP is featured in the recent box office hit The Hunger Games.

Directed by Gary Ross and starring Jennifer Lawrence, the movie holds the third-best opening weekend in the US and is Lionsgate's highest grossing movie ever.

Lionsgate has now released the production notes for 'The Hunger Games,' which includes the final lineup of music played during the film. Pieces of modern orchestral and electroacoustic music on the score include "Sediment" by Laurie Spiegel," Three Movements for Orchestra, Mvt. 1" by Steve Reich and "Allt varð hljótt" by Ólafur Arnalds.

Arnalds' also recently released his first Hollywood film soundtrack and score for Sam Levinson's 'Another Happy Day,' starring Demi Moore, Kate Bosworth, Ellen Barkin, and Ezra Miller among others. The film won Best Screenplay at Sundance and the soundtrack is now available worldwide on CD, vinyl, and download with Erased Tapes.
