We’re getting closer to the Mercury Music Prize Awards which will be televised live on September 5th on BBC 4 at 9:00pm BST, hosted by Joe Wiley and Jools Holland. I’m really looking forward to watching the show with a nice bottle of wine as we cross our fingers and hope that the Guillemots win! Of course, there are some other great acts in line for the award like Muse, Thom Yorke and the Arctic Monkeys are pretty cool…so we’ll see.
According to the BBC website, the Editors, Guillemots, Hot Chip, Zoe Rahman, and Thom Yorke will be performing live which should make for a good evening of entertainment. I haven’t been able to confirm whether or not all of the acts will be performing…
And the nominees are:
Arctic Monkeys
Isobel Campbell
Editors
Guillemots
Richard Hawley
Hot Chip
Muse
Zoe Rahman
Lou Rhodes
Scritti Politti
Sway
Thom Yorke
Dave and I appear in the Guillemots video for their song ‘Trains to Brazil’ so we’re not biased or anything…ha ha. ![]()

OMG..Look what I found! A T-Shirt signed by Editors. How cool is this I never thought I would ever get my hands on a signed Editors item. If you want to bid on some awesome items that I found visit this link. ebay.com/virginunite There is this item up for grabs and many others. I think the auction page said that new items go up every week too.
