Grizzly Bear Knife video, blog and tour dates

Brooklyn based Grizzly Bear is a band that is currently 'on the scene', they're playing the Coachella Festival this weekend and are now set to tour Europe and the US.

I've been listening to Grizzly Bear's single, "Knife" off of their 2006 album release Yellow House (Warp Records). The tranquil waves of sounds going around in "Knife" cuts through the norm of top 40 radio, which can often become noise after awhile and draining. It's amazing how simplicity, when done properly, can capture such a strong feeling and create a mood like "Knife" has done for me.

The video for "Knife" is different...interesting. It's good to see I'm not the only one with a strange fascination with quick sand.

One great way to get to know Grizzly Bear if you're not too familiar with them yet, would be by reading their band blog. I'm always on the lookout for cool band and music blogs and Grizzly Bear has a good one with photos, video links, music recommendations and more. Their blog hasn't been updated as much recently but hopefully they'll keep their readers informed of their goings on whilst on tour. The rest of their website is well maintained with news updates, music and information as an alternative to their blog.
