Theresa Andersson video breaks 1/2 million views on YouTube + download MP3

Theresa Andersson

Theresa Andersson just broke a 1/2 million views on YouTube!

Watch “Na Na Na” video:

Nearly 600,000 fans have witnessed the masterful performance for themselves – the video of Theresa Andersson performing the track, “Na Na Na,” in her kitchen using a loop pedal to perform all of the instrumentation and vocals on the YouTube homepage this past week.

Swedish-born and currently living in New Orleans, Theresa Andersson is a NOLA transplant by way of Gotland, a Swedish Island in the Baltic Sea. She grew up on a wool spinnery where her mother taught her the craft of wool spinning.

Produced by Tobias Fromberg (who also just finished Peter Moren’s new solo album), Andersson recorded her debut album, ‘Hummingbird, Go!’, in her kitchen, played all the instruments and can recreate it live in her one woman show.

In the past, Theresa Andersson has performed with Dr. John and The Meters to Sigur Ros and Peter Bjorn & John. She is now wrapping up her US tour in NYC before she heads off to Sweden.

Her new album is due out September 2, 2008 on the critically acclaimed NOLA label, Basin Street Records.

This video is great but the new one for “Birds Fly Away” is even better. I think it was released about 3 months ago and it gets me hyped every time I see it. Better hop on the bus now because Theresa is the next artist to break and is going to be huge!!
