Coldplay resumes its enormously successful world tour on February 12th, heading to Japan and Australia before returning to North America for its summer dates. The band, which picked up two Q Awards and two World Music Awards in 2008, was recently honored with four Brit Awards nominations.
Viva La Vida was released in June 2008 and charted at No. 1 in 36 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. In the U.S., it ranked #1 on the Top Ten Selling Digital Albums chart for 2008 – and it is also the top-selling digital album in SoundScan history.
