Dawes - DEBUT album North Hills + "Love Is All I Am" MP3

Dawes is set to release their debut album, 'North Hills' September 29, 2009 on ATO Records.

Dawes, and their "Love Is All I Am" single is reminiscent of the best things about Summer - friends, pool parties, BBQs, and those amazing romances that, unfortunately, have expiration dates attached to them.

Upon first listen, it is obvious Dawes is influenced by the endearing lyrical nature of those such as Dylan, Fogerty, Petty, and Springsteen, among others, and 'North Hills" presents itself as a delicate, sun-soaked, folk-gospel-rock offering created by an assemblage of young men wise beyond their years. You'd think 23-year-old frontman Taylor Goldsmith was more-than-double his age simply by his enlightened lyricism and the sincerity heard in his vocal stylings throughout the duration of the album. The band is currently doing a residency at the Echo in LA and just recently jumped off a tour with their friends Deer Tick.
