Kill It Kid have released their new single "Ivy & Oak" from their acclaimed debut album.
Having spent much of 2009 on the road, the band have become an assured and powerful live proposition, and "Ivy & Oak" - known within the band simply as 'Mamma' - has become something of a centrepiece in the set.
Drummer Mark Jones describes it as "Loud, exciting and great fun to play live...we've also found that it's a big crowd favourite too."
Kill It Kid's critical reputation grew through the course of 2009 as the likes of Jonathan Ross, Dermot O'Leary and Radcliffe & Maconie gave their support to the band.
In October the band's "Heaven Never Seemed So Close" single pipped The Big Pink in the vote, winning Steve Lamacq's 'Roundtable' show and the band finished in the final 10 of XFM's New Music Award in the company of Florence and the Machine and The XX.
