Eastenders Peggy's Theme single by Simon May set for release + EP

Peggy, played by the actress Barbara Windsor, will be leaving EastEnders after 16 years of service this month.

To commemorate the occasion, a specially re-worked version of the EastEnders theme music is being released called 'Peggy's Theme'.

UK Pop-Punkers MiMi Soya have announced they are backing EastEnders' Peggy Mitchell to claim the number 1 chart position!

Lead singer Jorja said:

"We've all been massive EastEnders fans for as long as we can remember, so it'll be a sad day when Peggy leaves the show! She's always been the rock holding The Square together (and sometimes tearing it apart!) and the show won't be the same without her. We saw that when she leaves there's going to be a specially released 'Peggy's Theme' available for everyone to download, so we urge everybody to go out and help get our Peggy to number 1! What an amazing send off that would be!"
