"An Acoustic Evening With Trey Anastasio" Will Feature The Scorchio Quintet; Tickets Go On Sale October 27th, At 10:00 A.M. ET

On Thursday, November 18, 2010, Trey Anastasio will perform at Princeton University's Alexander Hall in the historic Richardson Auditorium, an intimate venue that is renowned for its remarkable acoustics. Anastasio will perform songs spanning his career.

The Scorchio Quintet, which supported Trey Anastasio at the Tibet House benefit shows, will back him on select songs.

String arrangements for The Scorchio Quintet will be by celebrated composer/arranger Don Hart, one of Anastasio's longtime collaborators. Hart arranged material from Anastasio's Seis de Mayo album for a performance at the 2004 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Thereafter the pair collaborated on Anastasio's Shine (2005), Bar 17 (2006) and 18 Steps (2006), and co-composed Time Turns Elastic, a classical piece that has been performed by Orchestra Nashville, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic and recorded by The Northwest Sinfonia, conducted by David Sabee.

Tickets for "An Acoustic Evening with Trey Anastasio" will go sale October 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. ET at treytickets.rlc.net. Fans can check out the Richardson Auditorium seating chart at princeton.edu/richaud/seating.shtml. Tickets are $50 each. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. on the evening of November 18th and the concert will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Trey Anastasio is a founding member of the GRAMMY-nominated, genre-melding rock band Phish, which has released 15 studio albums, 75 complete live concert CDs and a series of 186 full concert downloads.

Drawing inspiration from experimental jazz, pop, reggae, metal, classical and barbershop music, he has also released eight solo albums and toured widely with the Trey Anastasio Band (TAB). TAB at the Tab, the group's latest live album, was released last month.

Scorchio Quintet is an avant/progressive/cutting edge electro-acoustic string quartet that made its debut in 2001, performing with David Bowie at the Tibet House Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall. The group subsequently recorded with Bowie.

Comprising Gregor Kitzis (violin), Maxim Moston (violin), Martha Mooke (viola), Leah Coloff (cello) and Kris Saebo (bass). Scorchio Quintet has worked with many prominent artists including Philip Glass, Lou Reed, David Byrne, Ziggy Marley, Rufus Wainwright, and the Kronos Quartet, among others.
