The Holidays

Headed to SXSW this year? If so, be sure not to miss The Holidays!

The Australian 4-piece recently won the highly coveted Best Debut Album in the Australian Music Prize's Red Bull Award.

Their much-lauded full length 'Post Paradise' features 10 freakishly good tracks, including "Broken Bones".

In the past couple of years The Holidays have quickly established themselves in the Sydney music scene as an upbeat, energetic addition.

Within their first year as a band together, The Holidays toured with Jamie T, The View and Ben Kweller and recorded an EP of demos which quickly sold out at gigs. They received regular airplay on radio stations across Australian, including the esteemed Triple J.

The Holidays signed with independent Australian record label Liberation Music (home to The Temper Trap, Howling Bells et al) in early 2008.

The Holidays are Simon Jones (vocals, guitar, keys, production), Will Magnus (lead guitar, keys), Alex Kortt (bass guitar) and Andrew Kerridge (drums, percussion).

The band will be performing at Austin's SXSW March 16th - 20. Stay tuned for details.
