At the end of a long tour, Blake spent some extra days and spontaneously hit the studio with his infrequent and informal backing band, The Powderkegs.
Also joining in was Blake's friend and guitar slinger, Jefferson Hamer (Great American Taxi, Anais Mitchell, Kristen Andreassen).
