Teddy Thompson has confirmed that he will play a headline show at London's Jazz Café on Wednesday May 4th.

The show will follow the release of Teddy's brand new single, "The Next One" on April 25th.

Taken from his acclaimed album 'Bella', "The Next One" is a driving slice of heartache heavy FM Americana that also manages to pull a succession of non-stop pop punches.

"The Next One" follows the release of the upbeat, refreshing Romeo swing of "Looking For A Girl", the first single to be taken from his fifth album, 'Bella'.

Produced by David Kahne, 'Bella' combines lean rock and roll with lush string arrangements on material that is both disarmingly catchy and often startlingly frank.

'Bella' was recorded in native Englishman Teddy's adopted hometown of New York City and features accompaniment from his sterling touring band, comprising Ethan Eubanks (drums), Jeff Hill (bass) and Daniel Mintseris (guitar).
