Foo Fighters Debut #1 Album in US
Foo Fighters' seventh studio album, Wasting Light, has officially become the band's first album to hit #1 in the U.S., selling over 230,000 in the first week after it's April 12th release via Roswell/RCA.
Dave Grohl took to the band's Twitter account yesterday announcing, "It's official...ROCK AND ROLL IS NUMBER ONE IN AMERICA !!!"
Wasting Light's debut doubled the six international #1s scored by its predecessor Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace topping #1 in countries including the UK, Germany, Australia, and Canada.

Wasting Light has received positive reviews from critics such as Rolling Stone, stating that Wasting Light is "the best Foos album since the first two," and Us Weekly, saying that "rock is not dead."
The Foo Fighters took to their Twitter account again tweeting, "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you everyone. I can't wait to answer the "Is rock and roll dead" question now..."
Recently, The Foos went into their personal studio to play Wasting Light from beginning to end live. Fans can watch the entire performance at foofighters.tv. Wasting Light is available now on iTunes, Amazon and in stores everywhere!
